TheFree Singapore Tour is a special programme for Changi Airport's transit passengers. It brings tour participants who have a minimum of 5.5hrs of transit time on a 2.5hr guided tour of Singapore. For travellers with at least hours to 24 hours to spare till your connecting flight, join one of our free guided tours. There are three bus tour itineraries which include two short photo stops at famous landmarks, and a walking tour itinerary to Jewel Changi Airport. More info TOUR ELIGIBILITY 1. Eligibility Requirements You are a transit or transfer passenger at Changi Airport. Your layover period is at least hours but less than 24 hours, and your flight schedule fits with our tour timings refer to Tour Itineraries below. 2. How do I register? You can make a pre-booking by clicking "Book Now" below or scan the QR code at the booth. Upon arrival at Changi Airport, please remain in the transit area and do not clear Arrival immigration as the Free Singapore Tour booths are located within the transit area. The Free Singapore Tour booths are located at T2 Transit Level 2, Departure Transit Hall Near Gate F50 Opening hours 700 AM - 700 PM T3 Transit Level 2, Departure Transit Hall Near Gate A1-A8 Opening hours 700 AM - 700 PM 3. What do I need to join the tour? Passport, boarding passes, valid entry visa and tour booking confirmation are required for registration. Eligibility to participate in the tour is subject to entry requirements stipulated by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore. If you have bulky or wheeled cabin baggage, you must leave them at a Baggage Storage counter fees apply in the airport transit before checking-in for the tour. 4. Important Notes Availability of seats is on a first-come, first-served basis. Tour itinerary may change, depending on weather and traffic conditions. Transit passengers are allowed to enter and exit Singapore once during their layover period, as per guidelines stipulated by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore. Check if your layover coincides with the tour schedules before proceeding to our FST online booking page. You can select the preferred itinerary, date and time and proceed with your booking. Upon arrival, please report to the nearest Free Singapore Tour booth in the Transit Area do not clear Arrival Immigration at least 90 minutes prior to your tour timing. 7. What are the terms and conditions of joining the Free Singapore Tour? Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of the Free Singapore Tour. All Free Singapore Tour participants are required to sign off on an Indemnity Form when they report at the Free Singapore Tour service counter before your tour begins. 8. I am only arriving after the Reporting Time. Can I still join the Free Singapore Tour? For all tours, passengers are strongly encouraged to report to the Free Singapore Tour booth in the Transit Area 90 minutes before the start of the tour to check in and confirm their attendance. Tour check-in will close 75 minutes before the tour starts. After a short briefing, you will clear Arrival Immigration as a group. 9. I am arriving in Singapore but not transiting. Can I join the Free Singapore Tour? The Free Singapore Tour is a guided tour for transit and transfer passengers of Changi Airport only. If you are visiting Singapore, you are not eligible for the Free Singapore Tour. 10. Can I join the Free Singapore Tour and remain in the city or Jewel, to explore on my own before going back to the airport for my connecting flight? Passengers who participate in the Free Singapore Tour are required to complete the entire tour programme, without breaking away from the group. For the Changi Precinct, City Sights, and Heritage Tours Participants will be transported back to Changi Airport. The drop-off points will include Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and Jewel. For the Jewel Tour You will have the option to stay in Jewel or follow your Tour Guide back to Terminal 3 at the end of the tour. All passengers are responsible for their subsequent flight check-in and security procedures in the respective terminals. 11. I have a long layover period, and I have an accommodation in the city. Can I join the Free Singapore Tour and not return to the airport after? The Free Singapore Tour is a guided tour for transit and transfer passengers at Changi Airport only. They need to have a layover period of at least hours but not more than 24 hours. Passengers joining the Free Singapore Tour should stay with their group at all times, and return to the airport after the tour. 12. I require a wheelchair to get around. Can I join the Free Singapore Tour? The Jewel Walking Tour is wheelchair-accessible. Passengers who require the use of wheelchairs will need to fulfil the following requirements He or she is accompanied and assisted by a travel companion; and He or she has their own wheelchair for the tour, as the airport or airline's equipment cannot be brought out of the airport premises The Changi Precinct, City Sights, and Heritage Tours are not recommended for wheelchair users due to the tour route. 13. Can I join more than one of the Free Singapore Tour itineraries? You may join only one tour because transit passengers can only enter and exit Singapore once, as per guidelines by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore ICA. More information on each of the tour itineraries are available on the Free Singapore Tour website. 14. I am below 18 years old and travelling by myself. Can I join the Free Singapore Tour? Passengers below 18 years old are not allowed to join the tour alone unless accompanied by an adult. All passengers have to sign an indemnity form prior to the tour and the indemnity requires signatories to be 18 years old and above. 15. I am late in returning to the tour bus and missed the tour bus transport back to the airport, what do I do? In the unlikely event that participants are separated from the tour group, the particpant has to make his or her own way back to the airport at his or her own cost.

Much of the rest of the “gift” is hemmed in by restrictions. You can’t book in advance, only on the day, so you can go only when a tour is available which may or may not suit you. We arrived at 9am to discover the next tour was at OK so we went, which meant being back at the gathering point at because you have to go through entry procedure. The tour takes you back to the terminal and you can’t stay in Singapore or re-enter the city. The tour itself is just some highlights which is ok; two opportunities to get off and take pictures. The bus is old but sound. Like a school bus; certainly not a comfortable coach. Commentary was in English, which is to say rather stilted English which is unusual in Singapore. We had to concentrate hard to follow what the guide was saying. It’s a taste of Singapore, more of a wiff really. And be prepared to be bossed around. Our guide, Selma, loves Singapore and told us lots of great stories and things about the city. We had two stops where we got off the bus and walked a short way. The lights of the city and harbour were breathtaking. My husband and I both carried our youngest children and the 2 older ones walked. Siapa yang belum pernah tau kalau Changi Airport juga punya fasilitas ini? Haha. Jadi, untuk orang-orang yang transit di Singapore lebih dari 5,5 jam, diperbolehkan daftar free tour keliling Singapore ini, tour nya sendiri berlangsung selama sekitar 2,5 jam. Negara-negara yang bebas visa untuk masuk Singapore, tentunya gak butuh visa untuk ikut tour ini. Salah satunya Indonesia. Kalau negara lain sih harus cek dulu butuh visa atau nggak. Aku dan Bram ikut free Singapore ini awal tahun 2019. Tepatnya bulan Januari sih, saat akan kembali ke Jerman dari Indonesia. Kalau gak salah, kami waktu itu pakai Scoot Airlines, sehingga dapet transit di Singapore. Kami transit di Singapore selama 13 jam. Kami memang berencana keluar Airport saat transit, daripada diem gak jelas 13 jam di airport, walaupun kami tau, di Changi banyak hal yang bisa dilakukan. Akhirnya, sebelum kami berangkat ke Singapore, kami search di google, kalau-kalau ada free tour untuk orang yang transit di Changi, dan jackpot. Ternyata ada. Haha. Waktu nunggu peserta lain yang masih cek visa Free tour ini diadakan sebanyak 7 kali dalam sehari setahuku Correct me if i’m wrong, dan mereka menyediakan 2 jenis tour. Ada Heritage Tour dan City Sights Tour. Tour ini juga ternyata cukup terkenal di kalangan transiters seperti kami, sehingga slotnya terbatas. Pendaftarannya menggunakan prinsip siapa cepat dia dapat. Aku lupa jadwalnya bisa didapatkan online atau nggak, yang pasti, kami dapat jadwalnya dari stall nya yang ada di setiap terminal. Untuk Heritage Tour, kamu akan diajak ke Chinatown, Little India, Kampong Glam, dan Merlion Park. Dan berhenti sebentar di Kampong Glam dan Merlion Park untuk foto-foto. Sementara City Sights Tour, kamu akan dibawa ke Central Business District, Merlion Park dan Gardens by the Bay dan berhenti sebentar di Merlion Park dan Gardens by the Bay. Berhenti sebentarnya gak sebentar banget sih, lumayan lah, 30 menit. Bisa foto-foto dan keliling dulu. Kalau aku dan Bram ikut yang City Sights Tour, karena menurut kami lebih menarik aja. Kalau gak salah, kami ikut tour pukul karena kami sampai di Singapore pukul Ada yang berangkat lebih awal pukul tapi saat kami kesana, slotnya sudah penuh. Jadi kami daftar untuk pukul Untuk pendaftaran hanya dibutuhkan passport dan boarding pass yang memperlihatkan kalau kita transit lebih dari 5,5 jam di Singapore. Setelah daftar, kami diminta untuk berkumpul di depan tempat pendaftaran tersebut kira-kira 30 menit sebelum tour dimulai. Kalau ada yang bertanya, nanti dapet makanan gak?’ nggak. Jadi, kalau memang gak sempet makan sebelumnya dan ngerasa mungkin bakal laper, bawa cemilan aja yang bisa dimakan saat stop nanti. kalau udah sampe suatu tempat, boleh keluar dari tour dan jalan-jalan sendiri gak?’ gak boleh. Harus ikutin jadwal mereka. Dikasih waktu hanya 30 menit ya 30 menit. Kembali ke bis sesuai waktu yang dijanjikan. 30 menit sebelum tour dimulai, kami berkumpul di tempat pendaftaran sebelumnya, lalu 1 wanita yang ternyata tour guide kami datang menghampiri kami. Dia memberikan kami stiker yang harus ditempelkan di baju sebagai penanda kalau kami peserta tour. Lalu kami diminta mengikuti dia dan bertemu dengan peserta yang juga sudah daftar dari stall di terminal lainnya, kemudian kami keluar melalui check out gate pada umumnya, cek visa oleh petugas, lalu kami diajak ke bis. Pesertanya saat itu mungkin 40 orang. Tempat duduknya juga tidak ditentukan, siapa cepat dia dapat. Tournya menurutku benar-benar menarik, karena sepanjang perjalanan tour guide akan menjelaskan berbagai banyak hal mengenai Singapore, kulturnya, penduduknya, setiap daerah yang kami lalui juga dia jelaskan. Menurutku menarik, karena menambah pengetahuan baru untuk kami. Tour tentunya dalam bahasa internasional, bahasa inggris. Pemberhentian pertama kami adalah Merlion Park. Tour guide menyampaikan pukul berapa kami harus sudah kembali ke bis, dan dia sampaikan secara tegas kalau tidak boleh ada yang terlambat datang ke bis. Aku dan Bram langsung berjalan ke spot-spot foto tentunya dan foto-foto sampai puas. Tour guidenya juga sekali menawarkan kalau kami ingin difotoin, biar ada foto berdua. Pemberhentian kedua kami di Gardens by the Bay. Disana, kami diberi waktu berhenti cukup lama, kalau gak salah 45 menit. Ada beberapa peserta yang lapar dan beli McD, kami sih langsung foto-foto. Hehe. Dari sana, kami kembali ke Airport dengan bahagia. Haha. Menurutku, ikut tour ini sangat seru, juga hemat. Kalau gak ikut free tour ini kan, kami harus beli tiket subway, tiket bis mungkin, lalu waktu yang digunakan jadi habis lebih banyak, dll. Sementara dengan tour ini, kami tinggal duduk manis di bis, sampai ke suatu tempat, foto-foto. Makan sih tinggal waktu kembali ke Airport lagi.
